3D Printing

Over the past two decades rapid prototype technology has continued to advance, becoming faster, cheaper and better quality.

Traditionally there have been five main processes referred to generically today as Additive Layer Manufacturing

More recently, newer technology has brought machines to market that are smaller in footprint and at much lower capital expense. This has brought about the term of 3D printing and sometimes referred to as Desktop Manufacturing.

As is the case with any other process, no single piece of equipment can encompass all the requirements asked of it by the innovative industrial designer. At Buff Industrial Design we specify processes that are best suited to the task at hand, balancing cost, performance and aesthetic
